APP to support women to strengthen their self-sufficiency and economic activation

The ROFÉ Foundation - Toca a Life has created the “ROFÉ Women” program, within the framework of the strategy to counteract the economic and emotional effects of COVID-19 on women heads of household in Colombia, and which seeks to strengthen the skills of women participants to work in the environment of entrepreneurship, contributing to their financial independence and economic reactivation and promoting the transformation of social realities from the empowerment of women for the consolidation of a democratic and just society.

Technology is an essential ally for the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals - SDG 2030 with respect to the Goal Gender Equity and Decent Work and Economic Growth, for this reason it is one of the challenges that this initiative is outlined according to the principles of innovation, technology, training and community. In the development of the technological platform aimed at this initiative, tools will be provided so that the participants can be agents of change and transformation of their communities and territories.

Fundación ROFÉ has ​​developed the Women ROFÉ APP, a technological platform with four support fronts associated with the goals of the implementation of the aforementioned initiative:

1.RED - Possibilities of connection with other women, giving and receiving emotional support. Generate a digital community of women with similar challenges and objectives.

2.OPPORTUNITIES - Access to study opportunities, subsidies, and training. A space where opportunities and / or external calls applicable to your profile are consolidated, for easy identification.

3. TRAINING - Access to virtual workshops on personal growth, entrepreneurial skills, and how to develop a business idea. Content in order to meet the needs of SXXI entrepreneurs.

4.ENTERPRISE - Channels to apply for advice, accompaniment by competent professionals as mentors to guide your business plans. Channels to apply for micro-credits to start or reactivate your ventures.

This program is developed through a process that includes cycles of identification, diagnosis, personalized projection of improvement actions, all within the framework of the ROFÉ Women application, which includes resources for initiatives or projects that the target population is developing and that aim at their personal and work strengthening.

Women are being summoned to be part of the strengthening process and wish to devise alternatives that lead to social innovation for the transformation of their territories and improvement of the quality of life of their families and communities.

Objectives of the ROFÉ Women Pilot Program

1. Promote individual and collective action among women heads of households in Colombia

2. Influence the transformation of the problems of their families / communities from their economic reactivation and financial independence

3. Train women in issues focused on their personal growth, soft skills, and issues related to entrepreneurship to strengthen their capacities for initiatives and projects.

4. Contribute to the closing of technological gaps that facilitate the incidence of women in their training and economic growth
