Digital assistant for the management of patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, inflammatory, autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS) (1). More than 2.3 million people have MS worldwide (2). Most are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40. It is the most frequent non-traumatic disabling neurological disease in young adults (3). There is currently no cure for MS. In fact, no one knows exactly what causes it (3).

At Merck we have supported people with MS for more than 20 years and we remain committed to offering solutions that increase the quality of life of those with MS by addressing their unmet medical needs (4). For this reason, we have created an exclusive assistant to support doctors in monitoring their multiple sclerosis patients, the MS Lifer app. In it you can calculate the progression of the disability through the EDSS scale. You will be able to make a graph in each query. It's also a valuable tool that gives you the option of getting metrics on things like quality of life, depression, and fatigue. In addition, you will be able to calculate the dose of Cladribine tablets and you will receive content and news about the pathology.
