The Kaempfer Partners founded McArthurGlen Designer Outlets in Europe in 1993.

Two years later, we opened Europe’s first designer outlet: Cheshire Oaks near Manchester, which is the largest designer outlet centre in the UK.

In 2013, the Kaempfer Partners sold a 50% interest in McArthurGlen to Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG), the world’s largest retail property owner.

In 2017, we welcomed over 90 million shoppers across our 24 designer outlets in nine countries – the United Kingdom, Austria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Canada and Greece.

Combined, our international shopping centres house 3,000 stores from the world’s most exciting premium and luxury lifestyle brands, with new stores opening each week.

All our sites are within easy reach of a major city, yet each has a unique brand mix and its own architectural style, finely-tuned to the local surrounds, making each outlet a unique place to shop, meet and be entertained in.
