About Lock Screen Message

This application is configuration tool for lock screen message.

INFORMATION(2013/07/22) :

1. This application use screen lock of OS. You should configure the screen lock in preferences of your device.

INFORMATION(2011/12/17) :

1. Target of this application is the screen lock, but not be the USIM lock.

2. Multiple-lines is supported. Please enter "Enter" or "Shift-Enter" for input multiple-lines message. The field size limited by the layout of OS.

Q001:What is this application?

A001:

This application is configuration tool for lock screen message.

If you are using "password lock" and you lost a device, the person who found your device can know your contact by lock screen message without your password.

Q002:How to use this application?

A002:

Please input your message to "New Message", and tap "Apply".

If you want to restore old message, tap "History". Don't forget tap "Apply" for apply message to lock screen.

You can clear "History" by "Clear", and delete an item by long tap.

Typically, this application only sets the message when you tap "Apply", but you can check "Set the message forcibly on every events of screen ON/OFF" for set the message more frequently.

In many cases you don't have to check this option. But if the message is overwritten by the OS and other applications, please check this option.

Q003:I set "foo" by this application, but I found the lock screen message is "bar". What is happened?

A003:

This application has been set for the alarm message in the message area provided by Android. Because this area has only one, if there are other applications that use this area may be overwritten.

When overridden in other applications, please set again, or please consider the use of applications that do not conflict.

Checking "Set the message forcibly on every events of screen ON/OFF" is might resolve this issue.

Q004:I have uninstalled this application, but I found the lock screen message remain. What is happened?

A004:

Android applications can not catch uninstall event by self. So this application can not clear lock screen message in uninstall event.

Please reinstall this application, and please set blank. Or please overwrite by other applications.

Q005:What the mechanism is used in this application?

A005:

Android's default lock screen has a display area for alarm messages and battery capacity. This application use area for alerm messages.

Specifically, "Settings.System.NEXT_ALARM_FORMATTED" we set the value.

"Lock screen message" feature of "Anti-Virus Free ver.2.8" seems to be rewritten each time the screen when ON / OFF control. However, this application is only when you apply the configuration rewrite on the application.

So, a message may be overwritten by another application since there is precedence.

Q006:What permissions are used in this application?

A006:

android.permission.WRITE_SETTINGS : For modify a value of "Settings.System.NEXT_ALARM_FORMATTED".
