The identification of vehicles registered in Morocco. The plate consists of five numbers (from 1 to 99,999) designating the registration number of the vehicle, a letter of the Arabic alphabet in the middle incremented compared to the number of registration and an identifier of the issuing prefecture of the plate (ranging from 1 to 88).

The identification of government vehicles.

The identification of diplomatic plates by country.

The license plate of a vehicle belonging to a diplomatic agent contains a code consisting of one to three digits. The registration of vehicles in special diplomatic and similar series:

CC : Vehicle belonging to the consular corps

CD : Vehicle belonging to the diplomatic corps

CMD : vehicles of heads of diplomatic mission

CI : vehicles belonging to non-diplomatic technical or administrative staff

OI : vehicles belonging to the staff of international organizations, whose last 2 digits indicate the year when the plate is registered.
