Hadith Arba'in Nawawi is one of the most famous books of hadith among Muslims, written by Imam Muhyiddin An-Nawawi which includes the hadiths of Jawami 'kalim (short hadith but very broad meaning).

Imam Nawawi actually chose the hadith which became the foundation of Islam in compiling his Arba'in book. Among the 42 hadiths, the most important are, the first Hadith: Hadith of Intention, that practice depends on the intention; 2nd Hadith: The Hadith of Jibril which contains the Pillars of Islam, the Pillars of Faith and the Pillars of Ihsan; 6th Hadith: About Halal, Haram, and doubtful; and the 9th Hadith: Carry out orders according to one's ability.

This book is among the books that are very popular and well received throughout the Muslim Ummah. Not only in Indonesia or in countries with the majority of the Shafi'i sect, but throughout the world, both among students and among the general public. This book was chosen and widely discussed by scholars and became a reference in spreading Islamic teachings to Muslims related to faith, worship, muamalah and sharia, because of its concise but basic nature.
