A digital pilot project to reward climate-friendly behavior.

The City of Vienna is working on the world's 1st culture token, a digital pilot and research project to reward climate-friendly behavior in a playful way. The culture token is:The culture token is:

• A pilot project with scientific support and assessment.

• A digital bonus system that uses a smartphone app to reward environmentally conscious behavior with free access to cultural events

• A digital credit that can be redeemed at cultural venues. Specifically, a virtual token is generated for the active reduction of CO2 by walking, cycling and using public transport. This can be exchanged for vouchers for tickets to well-known cultural institutions.

• A digital incentive system that combines the everyday behavior of citizens with cultural use. Everyone involved benefits from it.
