Karatou Post Bac (Karatou = study in Hausa)

In 2016, aware of the importance of education and concerned about the future of my young brothers and sisters in Africa, in Niger in particular, I decided to combine my 2 passions, IT and education (develop after +6 experience with the Passeport Avenir association) to create Karatou Post Bac, the first Edtech mobile application that helps high school and college students to choose their future in Niger. Its goal is to use the favorite tool of young people to help them succeed in their school guidance, for free, anywhere and anytime, even offline.

Karatou Post Bac's ambition is to reduce, or even eradicate, school failure due to a lack of information, of models of success in the immediate social environment, self-censorship and support.

To do so, Karatou Post Bac offers a free application to allow high school and college students to succeed regardless of their educational and social level, in Niger and in French-speaking Africa. Currently, Karatou Post Bac supports more than 5,000 young people who testify every day in the stores of the help it has given them to succeed and regain confidence.

Karatou Post Bac has received several awards for social innovation and distinctions including:

• E-Takara 2017, organized by ANSI in Niger to reward social innovations in the service of society

• Recognized among the 40 best innovations in education in Africa, by the African Union and presented in Senegal in 2018 and in Botswana in 2019

• Top 12 finalists of the African App Launchpad in Cairo, Egypt 2019

• Winner of the French Tech Tremplin 2020 competition
