The Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI) is the official monolingual dictionary of the Indonesian language compiled by the Language Development and Development Agency and published by Balai Pustaka.

This dictionary is the highest reference for standard Indonesian, because this dictionary is the most complete and most accurate Indonesian dictionary ever published by a publisher that has a patent from the government of the Republic of Indonesia which is overseen by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.

The Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI) Edition V is more complete, namely a search menu, facilities for proposing new entries or correcting entries, and links to Google for searching for examples or context of use. Apart from services for users, the KBBI application is also integrated with the work of dictionary compilers.
