The Justice League is a fictional team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The Justice League (originally called "the Justice League of America") was conceived by writer Gardner Fox and first appeared in the comic book The Brave and the Bold #28 (March 1960).

The team roster is mostly an assemblage of established superhero characters appearing in other DC Comics publications, such as Batman and Superman. These characters often have their own comic book titles and storylines but band together as the Justice League to fight foes they cannot face alone. The original seven members of the Justice League were Aquaman, Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Since the Justice Leagues's inception, the team has had a rotating roster with various superheroes from the DC Universe having held membership.

The Justice League has been adapted to several television shows and video games. An upcoming motion picture is currently in pre-production.
