Version 2.O: 26 Jun 2016. Add Permissions for Android 6.0. Disable hardware acceleration on Puzzle View. The cube would fall back to the puzzle with the new view and direction correctly and then display the old view as if nothing ever changed. With hardware acceleration disabled it works correctly and shows the new view and direction. I hope this is a work-around and not a permanent fix.
Version 2.M: 19 Apr 2016 -- Upgrade interface.
The puzzle functions remain the same.
