Secure NFC

The 1st app to Write and Verify Signed NFC NDEF tags. Works on regular NFC tags!

Includes the important features of a typical NFC Tag Reader and Writer, plus the ability to create and verify Secure NFC Tags. Signed NFC Tags provide security to NFC enabled products using provable authenticity to reduce counterfeit and malicious data.

Read NFC NDEF Tags

Scan NFC tags and inspect the information stored on the tag with the Secure NFC tag reader/verifier. Shows the details of each record in an NDEF message as well as the details of the Tag Hardware, including:

- Tag ID

- Tag Type

- Maximum Message Size

- Is Writable?

- Can be made read-only?

- Tech List

Displays a plain-text output showing details of how the NDEF message was parsed. If the NDEF message contains a Signature Record the verify log will show additional information about the Signature Record and the verification status.

Finally, a friendly formatted output of the entire NDEF message is displayed at the bottom of the details screen.

Recognized NDEF Records:

- Text Record (T)

- URI Record (U)

- Signature Record (Sig)

- Smart Poster Record (Sp)

Notes:

- Other record types encountered will show up as an Unknown Record.

- If you do not have any NFC tags available to scan or your device does not have NFC capabilities then you can still use the "Simulate Tag" buttons.

Write Signed NFC NDEF Tags

Created signed NDEF messages with the Secure NFC tag writer. These tags conform to the NFC Forum Signature RTD 2.0 Specification.

Supported Signed Record Types:

- Text Record (T)

- Signature Record (Sig)

Notes:

- There are some "Prepared Tags" buttons built in to easily create tags with a single press of a button.

Verify Signed NFC NDEF Tags

If a scanned tag contains a Signature Record, the Secure NFC reader/verifier will verify the data in the message and display the details of the Signature record, including:

- Signature Type

- Hash Algorithm

- Signature (as a base 64 encoded string)

Any type of Signed NDEF Record can be verified by this application.
