No need to manually adjust screen brightness. Brightness is set to maximum value while the app is on, then re-sets to "Automatic Brightness" when the app is closed(when 'back' button is pressed). If you press the 'home' button to close the app, "Automatic Brightness" will remain off, and the brightness will be set to whatever value you have it as. This is why it is important to use the 'back' button to close the app, as you should for any app.
