Rapture Recordz is a record label specializing in quality hip hop music. Our goal is to release talented and creative artists into the music industry which will serve people with music they’ll enjoy forever and consume consistently. We develop artists into professionals on and off the stage. While we specialize in rap, our fan base consists of those who enjoy all spectrums of music.

We offer music for fans of crossover mainstream groups such as Black Eyes Peas to the underground street sounds of groups like G-Unit All of our artists are encouraged to stay true to themselves, their message, and that which they really live. We are committed to challenging the lyrics of our artists as well as the quality of the production that our producers create, ensuring the best possible product for our listeners. When Rapture Recordz invests in a project, we get behind it 100% and make sure that our artists are given the maximum exposure while keeping their authenticity in tact.

Our label was founded in 2001, by our CEO Dwan Banks, who is a University of Houston graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Being an artist herself, Ms. Banks aka Da*1, launched the first group on the label with her cousins, 1st Kuzzin’s. 1st Kuzzin’s has been in development for over 9 years, and have recently completed their first album, “Taking the World by Storm.” Working with national artists such as Lil Keke and Devin the Dude, these Houston natives have been developed into a class act on and off the stage. Rapture Recordz has remained a true independent record label, providing the funding and administration for all of our releases. While we are always open to negotiating deals with other music entities, we value our work and will only do business with those who operate with integrity. Our standards are very high, and that is what makes Rapture Recordz stand out amongst the thousands of record labels in the world today.
