Measure your cycling cadence without additional sensors or hardware.

Measure your cycling cadence with your mobile phone - no additional sensors or hardware required.

Simply start the app, drop it into your cycling jersey back pocket, and away you go!

The app provides graphical views of the data, and it is also stored in csv files on the phone.

The app uses machine learning to 'learn' your cycling behavior, so ideally if you put the phone in your pocket the same way each time things should go a little more smoothly.

It needs around ~15 minutes of learning before the cadence estimates start to look reasonable.

The app runs OK in the background with the screen off. If you are having issues then check if you have a task manager running or Android optimization that restricts background app behavior.

The app can also function as a Bluetooth Low Energy Bike Cadence sensor, sending the cadence data to your favorite BLE enabled bike computer or Android/iPhone app.

Note that this Bluetooth functionality is unfortunately not supported by all phones. In addition, due to Android Bluetooth limitations you need to remove and then re-add the phone as a Bluetooth sensor for each ride :-(
