Nouchi (noochee) is a mix of French and many languages of Ivory Coast that appeared in the early 80s in Abidjan, according to Wikipedia. It was originally spoken by young city dwellers, often uneducated or living the street life. It was mainly spoken then around street markets, bus stations, movies before it infiltrated all other layers of the social structure. From street vernacular, Nouchi has become the language of Ivorian popular comedy and wisdom, and even that of the music industry.

Nouchi.Mobi is the crowdsourced dictionary of Nouchi words and expressions available right from your phone. You can add your own nouchi words, or make a request to the community to translate a word for you from French to Nouchi and vice versa, with more features to be added regularly.
