Nirmala Matha Central School, East Fort, Thrissur. NMCS is an ISO Certified co-educational Higher Secondary School affiliated to the CBSE started functioning in June 1993 with the lofty vision of imparting to the youth, a progressive education suited to the changing needs and aspirations of the country. It is run by the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. ( N.M.C.S. today has an experienced faculty of 95 well-qualified and devoted teachers and a student strength of 2350.) N.M.C.S. focuses on forming persons who are intellectually advanced, culturally refined and spiritually solid.

CONGREGATION

The SABS Congregation was founded in 1908 by Venerable Mar. Thomas Kurialacherry, an ardent devotee of the Holy Eucharist. He got the inspiration from his Eucharistic experience that our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament should always and everywhere be known, loved, adored by all. He started the congregation in collaboration with Mother Mary Francisca de Chantal, the first member and the Co-Foundress of our congregation. Started with 5 members, the congregation has now grown like the ‘mustard seed’ taking roots in 104 dioceses spread across the globe and radiate the Eucharistic presence through perpetual adoration, and various ministries. We engage in education, healing ministry and social apostolate in response to the pressing needs of the time. At present, the SABS has about 5000 sisters spread over 19 provinces and 5 regions in 561 houses. We work collectively ,draining strength from the almighty, to support and nurture every institution under our patronage.
