▶THE NATO PHONETIC ALPHABET:
The NATO Phonetic Alphabet is a system used to replace letters of the English Alphabet with corresponding code words unique to the system.
The first letter of each code word found in the NATO Phonetic Alphabet corresponds to a letter in our Alphabet.
For example: A = Alpha, B = Bravo, C = Charlie... and so on
The NATO Phonetic Alphabet is an important system because it allows individuals the ability to clearly and accurately be heard over radio and telephone communications.
Used by the military and in air travel the NATO phonetic alphabet is considered by many to be the most widely used radiotelephone spelling alphabet in the world.
▶MORSE CODE:
Similarly to the NATO Phonetic Alphabet, Morse Code is also a telecommunication system used to encode Alphabet characters into a unique "signal duration" also called dots and dashes.
