Audio-video-photographic, 3D contents on the churches of the historic center of Catania

Museoconvista was created with the aim of enhancing the panoramic terrace of the Diocesan Museum of Catania, and the recent works carried out to improve accessibility to it, offering audio-video-photographic content on the main churches of the historic center visible from the terrace.

The terrace in fact offers an extraordinary view of the historic center of the city, the city's sea coast and, further up, the hinterland up to Etna, in a play of planes and highly three-dimensional views that gives visitors who venture there a unexpected experience, capable of revealing the heart of the city.

A privileged view, which allows you to appreciate the urban planning of the city resulting from the complete reconstruction of Catania after the devastating earthquake of 1693.

The same churches that dot the magnificent panorama accessible from the terrace, a sublime expression of Catania's baroque heritage, are by location and architectural elements, precious testimonies of the era of maximum splendor of the city which, after the devastation, was reborn with an urban and social project, new and modern.

Thanks to the app, visitors who go up to the terrace will be able to have a more complete visit experience thanks to the availability of audio, video, photographic content and 3D reconstructions of the visible churches, which can stimulate interest in a direct visit.
