Mixed Reality of Flowers: fiori veri e virtuali

The MRoF artifact is a mixture display of physical paper flowers with virtual flowers. This artifact is on display at NYAWA’18: EARTH TO SKY for three months from 1 December 2018 to 8 March 2019, at Galeri Serdang, Universiti Putra Malaysia.Users need to be at the centre of this paper garden, and is required to wear a pair of MR glasses (HMD) with MRoF mobile application. Users can then look around and see virtual flowers blooming round these paper flowers. By gazing for at least three seconds at these virtual flowers, the flowers will morph into an animated multimedia presentation highlighting kids with Down syndrome.

Users that aren't around NYAWA'18 and without MR glasses can opp for magic windows option in the MRoF application, to enjoy the animated multimedia presentation.

This work is dedicated to support Persatuan Sindrom Down Malaysia and Bunga-bunga Syurga loosely translated as flowers of the heaven, representing kids with Down’ Syndrome support group.
