The Kanzur Roghibin book includes an old syarah book for the Minhaj Ath-Tholibin book. It is known that there are four most important syarahs and the Syafiiyyah scholars' foundation for the book Minhaj Ath-Tholibin written by Imam Nawawi. Among the hundreds of syarah books, there are four famous syarah books, namely:

1. Manhaju Ath-Thullab by Zakariyya Al-Anshori (which later became Fathu Al-Wahhab and later gave birth to the book Futuhat Al-Wahhab or known as Hasyiyah Al-Jamal).

2. Kanzu Ar-Roghibin by Jalaluddin Al-Mahalli.

3. Tuhfatu Al-Muhtaj by Ibn Hajar Al-Haitami and

4. Nihayatu Al-Muhtaj by Shamsuddin Ar-Romli.

The word "kanzun" means treasured savings and the word "roghibin" means people who have desires. It can be said that the author of the book intends that people who want to understand and deepen the book of Minhaj Ath-Tholibin will find this book as a treasure of inestimable value. The writing of this book was completed around 860 H.

Its author is named Al-Mahalli. Muslims in Indonesia are certainly no strangers to one of his legendary works in the field of interpretation which later became known as the Jalalain Interpretation Book. This interpretation was initiated by Jalaluddin Al-Mahalli (starting from surah Al-Kahfi to An-Nas plus Al-Fatihah) then perfected by Jalaluddin As-Suyuthi (starting from Surah Al-Baqarah to surah Al-Isro'). Why is this book called Tafsir Al-Jalalain because this interpretation was written by "two people of Jalal" that's the story.

His full name is Jalaluddin Abu Abdillah Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Mahalli. His short name is Jalaluddin Al-Mahalli or just Al-Mahalli. He was born at the beginning of Shawwal in 791 H in Cairo, Egypt. Among his teachers are: Al-Bulqini (d. 805 H), Ibn Al-Mulaqqin (d.804 H), Ibn Hajar Al-'Asqolani (d.852 H), Asy-Syams Al-Birmawi (831 H), and others.

He is known to be very intelligent to the extent that his mind can penetrate diamonds. So it is not surprising that he memorized the matan “At-Tanbih” by Asy-Syirozi in the Shafii school of fiqh. Among his famous students were, As-Suyuthi (911 H) and As-Sakhowi (d. 902 H). He works as a trader. Once upon a time he was offered to become a qodhi (judge) to replace his teacher, Ibn Hajar, but he refused.

Kanzu Ar-Roghibin's book can be classified as a brief syarah. The language used is concise. To the extent that the mention of the argument was also presented briefly. Among the things that show the high quality of this book is that it is used as an important reference by well-known Syafiiyyah scholars. Ibn Hajar Al-Haitami used it as a reference when compiling Tuhfatu Al-Muhtaj, likewise Asy-Syarbini when composing Mughni Al-Muhtaj and did not forget Ar-Romli when compiling Nihayatu Al-Muhtaj.
