Kamakshi is a form of Tripura Sundari and the universal mother goddess. the word 'Kaa' also means means Sri Lakshmi and 'Maya' means Sri Saraswati, as in , the Supergoddess with Sri Parvathi, Sri Lakshmi and Sri Saraswati as her eyes. She blesses all that dedicate themselves to her. This is famous for imparting the great story of imparting knowledge of Kamsutra, the temple is constructed as memorable for deploying the knowledge of Kamasutra mankind.
