Leggi e / o invia i dati di monitoraggio con questa app di monitoraggio globale delle acque sotterranee
You cannot manage what you do not measure. Therefore, groundwater monitoring is crucial for sustainable groundwater management. Download this app and contribute to the monitoring of the world’s most valuable, but hidden, resource: groundwater!
This app enables users to georeference and register groundwater monitoring stations and monitoring data, and to submit the collected data to the Global Groundwater Monitoring Network (GGMN) Portal (https://ggmn.un-igrac.org/). The GGMN portal is one of the map viewers hosted under the Global Groundwater Information System (GGIS), an interactive portal for sharing data and information on groundwater resources around the world (https://ggis.un-igrac.org/).
Among the data that can be registered via the app are: drilling and construction data, hydrogeology data, groundwater levels, groundwater quality and abstraction/discharge data.
For more information on the GGMN, visit https://un-igrac.org/ggmn.
Start monitoring
To start using the app, you have to first create an account at: https://ggis.un-igrac.org/account/signup/. This will allow you to not only have access to all public data from other monitoring stations in GGMN through your phone, but also, to create new groundwater monitoring stations and periodically add new readings. Moreover, you can use this account to access to the GGIS platform as well.
How to get started
1. Install the app
2. Login with your GGMN login credentials (if not yet registered, you can sign up at https://ggis.un-igrac.org/account/signup/).
3. Start adding new groundwater monitoring stations and measurements!
This GGMN app is an initiative of the International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre (IGRAC) - www.un-igrac.org.
