Eden Community Radio is a Non Profit Company

All surplus funds will be used to help legitimate local charities and worthy causes.

Our passion and dream is for this project to make many people’s lives a little bit easier, fight crime/criminals and bring the community closer together!

Hobby programme

Craft and DIY

Gardening , pets

Medical / first aid

Technology

Psychology hour – how to see the signs of drug abuse, addiction, and suicidal tendencies in your teen, how to raise children today in this media bombardment! etc….

Children’s hour – talking & listening to the children in Edenvale… getting to know what’s happening at grass roots level… in schools, at the malls, in Edenvale in General!

Some of the planned Social Upliftment drives:

“No one in Edenvale cold in winter!”

“No one in Edenvale hungry!”

Help Charities in financial difficulty – especially child based charities.

“Be Safe in Edenvale” CPF crime avoidance tips and an “Early Warning System”

Relationship building between local authorities and Municipal service providers, this will include interviews with:

Top Officials from CPF, SAPS, EMPD, Local Municipal Officials, Chamber of Commerce

Exposé on Edenvale Business:

Advertising income will play a double role….

It will bring in revenue to keep the station running and profits to go towards local Charities!

It will also inform Edenvale Residents that there is nothing they can’t find in Edenvale, allowing vendors, manufacturers and service providers the platform to get their product out there so that we as “Edenvalers” don’t have to waste time & costs Wild Goose Chasing in other areas!

Talent Discovered!

Visual Artists, Young Musicians, DJ’s, Garage Bands get Airtime and Exposure – even if it just makes their parents proud!! 😀

However, we have many friends in various forms of the Media Industry including Recording Studios, Production, Post Production & Agencies – maybe some new talent will be discovered?!!?

Standard operating procedures will be based on ICASA Regulations and this will be our

Broadcasting Foundation, including the following:

Uplift the Community

Include everyone

Regular news, traffic, weather slots, etc

At least 40% South African music (Go the local garage bands! Unplugged! 😀 )

Membership rules, Quorum at the AGM, etc

Any serious crime will be announced immediately due to instant contact with the CPF, associated law enforcement agencies(SAPS, EMPD) & Private Security Companies – and of course those active/concerned Residents of Edenvale who watch out for their Neighbours!
