App for first-hand buyers of products from the sea in Honduras.

This App has been designed for merchants who buy first-hand fishing products directly from fishermen in Honduras. When acquiring sea products, users may use this App to take note of total weight and quantities of each species bought to specific fishers. This important data is then automatically delivered through the internet to a central data-base, accesible to researchers studying these commercially important resources.

To use this App users must login with a password provided with their sea product merchant's license, which is issued by the General Fisheries Department (DIGEPESCA).

When installing and launching the App for the first time it is necessary to maintain the wi-fi connection for about 15 minutes until a notification confirms that the synchronisation process has finished. After this, the App will function with or without internet connection. Your records will continue to synchronise automatically as wi-fi signal becomes available.

When buying products from the sea, user should request the fisher's fishing license. This licenses have a QR code on the back that may be scanned by the devise to quickly identify the fisher. Otherwise, the fisher's ID number may be entered.

Once the fisher has been identified,the buyer chooses from the illustrated menu the specific type of product that is being bought, annotating the quantity and total weight. This last process is repeated for every different species being bought.

The App has a notification section through which relevant news regarding the fishing industry will be periodically broadcasted by DIGEPESCA.
