স্বর্গ একটি ধর্মীয়, বিশ্বতাত্ত্বিক, বা আধিবিদ্যক স্থান যেখানে বিশ্বাসীদের মতে দেবতা, দেব-দূত, আত্মা জাতীয় সত্তা, সন্ত অথবা পূজিত পিতৃপুরুষগণ উদ্ভূত, রাজাসনে অধিষ্ঠিত বা বাসরত।

নরক (সংস্কৃত: नरक) হল পরলৌকিক ও শাস্তির স্থান। হিন্দুধর্ম মতে, নরক হচ্ছে পাপীদের শাস্তি ভোগ করার স্থান। এটি মৃত্যুর দেবতা যমের আবাসস্থল। বিভিন্ন ধর্মগ্রন্থ অনুসারে নরকের সংখ্যা ২৮ টি।[
