The rapid development of knowledge, especially in the field of pharmacy, has been accompanied by an overhaul of the 1987 Pharmacy Middle School curriculum with the 2001 Pharmacy Middle School curriculum. In this new curriculum, the competency of a Pharmacist Assistant has been clarified alongside the roles of other pharmaceutical personnel.

This Prescription Science Book has been rearranged to adapt to developments in types of medicine and technology, with the hope that it will become a very useful handbook for Pharmacy High School students.

For this third printing, several improvements/corrections have been made as well as the addition of several material explanations including Latin abbreviations. These are all suggestions that came from several teachers to the Joint Secretariat.
