Huawei Watch GT 2: Dual-Size, AMOLED, Kirin A1, Extended Battery Life

In contrast to the original Watch GT, which featured two case styles but a single size, the updated Watch GT 2 is available in two sizes – 46mm and 42mm – with a variety of color options. Both sizes boast always-on AMOLED displays and are powered by Huawei's efficient Kirin A1 chip, ensuring up to two weeks of battery life for the larger model and one week for the 42mm variant. Compatible with Apple or Android phones, the watch offers 4GB of storage, allowing storage for up to 500 songs.

The Watch GT 2 maintains a design continuity with its predecessor, featuring a stainless steel and plastic casing that complements sporty silicone straps or leather wristbands, making it suitable for diverse occasions.

Beyond its exterior, the Watch GT 2 reveals impressive features. Sleep tracking, for instance, stands out with Huawei Health providing a comprehensive sleep score, detailing time spent in deep sleep, light sleep, and REM sleep. The app offers guidance on achieving sleep targets by providing normal range benchmarks for each sleep category.

Huawei asserts that the 46mm Watch GT 2 can last up to two weeks between charges, a claim that aligns closely with real-world usage. After five days of utilizing the watch with "real-time" heart-rate monitoring and one day with the always-on lockscreen enabled, the battery showed a remaining capacity of 40%.
