Suresh Gyan Vihar University presents House Of Wisdom. The House Of Wisdom is Biggest Digital Library in Asia.

There are something 100000 books in Library and more than 200000 Research Journals. An application is developed by Shadows Team include members Naveen Sharma,Sapan Gupta, Chandra Prakash Sharma.

The vision & mission of the Central Library is to Collect and Compile new knowledge through acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge resources and providing value added services to the community of the University as well as to the society. The Central Library has been established as “House of Wisdom”. It has 1.5 Lac. feet plinth area in four floors. The Library has 1724 e-journals and 75 print journals and Magazines. The Central Library has KOHA software which technically manages the working of the entire Library. The circulation services has also been computerized and book are issued through BAR CODE TECHNOLOGY only.

A digital library having more than 50 systems with internet facility for student and faculty members have been made available to the user. The total number of printed holdings are more than One Lakh, including various, books on varied streams, printed journals, and magazines, dissertation of M-Tech scholars and Research thesis of PhD candidates including various fields of Engineering & Technology , ISBM , Pharmacy , BHMCT , Bio Science , Education , Braille Books , Distance Education ,Book Bank , Agriculture. The central library is member of ‘Developing Library Network DELNET (DATABASE services).

Users can access various database of about 2 crore books, journals, thesis, non-print materials etc. available with 4697 INDIAN and Foreign library. Also users can borrow the book from other libraries under ‘INTER LIBRARY LOAN’ scheme. Access to science database is also available .

Our Library Staff Team is always available to provide all kind of book related assistance whenever required. In addition to this, House of Wisdom Offers plenty of services to its Readers comprising of circulation of books, Internet, Tea/Coffee, Book Bank, Reprographic, Loan, Membership etc detailed as follows:

General Services

1. Circulation Services (Issue/ Return of books) to Faculty, Staff, Students and Researchers from various streams.

2. Computer Access with Internet facility.

3. Reference Books Services.

4. News Papers and Magazines

5. Periodicals

6. Tea/Coffee facility for the Readers

7. Issuing books from Book Bank.

8. Property Counter at the Entrance

9. Open Stacks for easy access.

Membership

The following are entitled to enroll themselves as members :

(a) Students and teachers of the university.

(b) Administrative staff of the university.

To get enrolled as a member, a person has to fill and sign Library Membership Form. He has to get it recommended by the Chief Librarian of the University.

Reprographic facility

Photocopy Service is available at the Central Library which can be availed by any student/ staff on nominal charges.

Loan Priviledge

Each member shall be given a Library Membership Card as many volumes of books he is entitled to borrow at one time. Books will be issued for a maximum period of one month to faculty/Staff members.

The members are entitled to take books on loan on a scale given below :

1. B. Tech : 6 Books 14 days

2. M. Tech : 6 Books 14 days

3. Research Scholars : 6 Books 14 days

4. Teachers: 6 Books 1 Month

5. Administrative staff : 2 Books 1 Month

Issue & Return Timing

General books are issued or returned on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 AM. Textbook can be consulted within the Library premises on depositing Library Membership Card.
