Health information exchange between pregnant women and health professionals.

Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) is a public not-for-profit tertiary academic institution in Nepal dedicated to improving health by training health workers for rural Nepal. PAHS aims to improve the health status of the disadvantaged people of Nepal living in remote or rural areas, through innovation, equity, excellence and love in education, service and research.

Since,this project aims, initially, to develop a mobile-based software application and data-system to collect and disseminate information and data regarding the events during pregnancy to be used by women who live in rural areas of Nepal and their primary health workers,the system has been developed and deployed with various user level to efficiently facilitate the objective.

The aim of this project is to ensure an optimum health information exchange between pregnant women and mothers, and health institutions and professionals. Mobile applications along with the backend to enter,edit and analyze the data has been developed which helps to demonstrate the usefulness of the system in improving indicators of health.
