Teba is much more than nature and history, it is a perfect place to observe birds, some as important as the Egyptian vulture, in danger of extinction, and to enjoy impressive natural landscapes, products of Teba's privileged location. We highlight the Tajo del Molino, Ecological Reserve, along with the Guadalteba reservoir. Impressive karst canyon, sculpted by the water of the La Venta River and the movement of plate tectonics.

We must not forget the countless limestone mountain ranges in the surrounding area or areas such as La Puente, ideal for hiking and enjoying nature.

Teba has a great historical legacy, the archaeological remains show us evidence of the settlers thousands of years ago who occupied the banks of its rivers, as well as the important Cueva de las Palomas, passing through the valuable megalithic necropolis of La Lentejuela, the Iberian town of Castillejos and its necropolis.

We highlight the impressive Roman city of Cortijo el Tajo, which demonstrates the importance of Teba in each era.

The Estrella Castle, bastion and image of our municipality, treasures centuries of history within its walls. It was built in the 12th century and conquered in 1330 by the Castilian troops of Alfonso XI. The taking of the fortress became a real crusade with the participation of some Scottish knights who were on their way to the Holy Land with the heart of King Robert the Bruce.

The Town of Teba, showing its sinuous urban layout, declared a Historic-Artistic Site, maintains today some of its popular and stately houses, such as that of the Marquis of Greñina, or that of the Empress Eugenia de Montijo, Countess of Teba.

We distinguish the majestic Church of the Santa Cruz Real, a magnificent example of Andalusian baroque, and the restored façade of the 16th century San Francisco Convent.

Teba offers visitors a multitude of fun activities, such as paragliding/hang-gliding courses or horse riding.

You will be able to enjoy us with all five senses, because Teba knows cheese and oil, because it smells of thyme and rosemary and you can breathe history on all four sides.
