S'est du fake :Fortnite Android Release Date Download: Bad news if you're expecting Android Release todayEPIC GAMESFortnite Android Release Date Download: Bad news if you're expecting Android Release today
FORTNITE is already available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and iOS devices. But fairly soon it will also come to Android smartphones. Here's everything we know about the games next Battle Royale release date.

Epic Games are moments away from the games latest Fortnite Update 5.1 release and very shortly the patch notes will also be officially unveiled by the game's website.

However, a quick warning for anyone expecting or hoping for a Fortnite Android Release today. Don't get your hopes up.

In the past week, especially on YouTube, there's been talk of an Android release coming on July 24th, with lots of YouTubers pointing towards and official Fortnite picture and Twitter post by Chinese conglomerate Tencent.

The tweet reads: "Fortnite, wow! It's coming." with a big picture (seen below) showing a July 24th date.

This, however, is far from a Fortnite Android release as some YouTubers have suggested. If anything it's actually linked to the PC release in China in partnership with Tencent.

Tencent, for the uninitiated, is a company who sort of run a Steam Store equivalent in China. That's a really basic explanation, but if you want to know more Twitter user @ZhugeEX is a great resource for information as he covers the digital games market in China & Southeast Asia.

This is where things get weird. Because we knew that the game was coming on the 23rd based on a past announcement made by the official Fortnite Twitter account in April. And we know the game DID go live in China last night.

But the previous Tweet that caused all the hubbub, from the Twitter account @Tencent_Games_ has gone. In fact, the account has been suspended. We don't know the Chinese market that well, but we get the impression the account may have been fake, despite being reported on by PCGamesN and several more legit sites.

The bottom line? Don't expect any sort of Fortnite Android release to come today with the new 5.1 update. Despite suggestions from a few places online, there's no evidence to suggest this, or that the original source of the info - which was actually hyping Tencent not Android - was even real to begin with.
