GRM studio application

GRM studio is a music creation application.

It allows powerful sound transformations through the direct manipulation of digital audio representations and the experimentation of multiple reading processes on sound documents.

This new violin making is made available thanks to the support of the Investments for the Future program (PIA-SINÉ). It completes the INA-GRM resource collection available on Éduthèque "Listen, see, understand electroacoustic music and sound creation technologies".

A pioneer of concrete, electroacoustic and acousmatic music, the Musical Research Group (GRM) has been developing since 1958 creative sound processing devices for musicians, composers and sound designers.

Features:

- Real time simulation of the main transformations of the sound.

Transpositions, time streching, delays, mobile loops, granular synthesis, etc.

- All these operations are done only by combining operations of reading a sound file. Simple controlled reading in direction and speed, moving moving loops with several read sliders.

- Direct exploration of the waveform at different scales

- Virtual Editing and Editing
