GlobeARound to Constellation is an Augmented Reality application to navigate the Tecnodidattica Globe through your Smartphone and discover numerous interactive and multimedia content related to the Starry Sky, Constellations and numerous astronomical objects such as double stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies.

By framing the sphere of the globe with the camera of your device, you will be able to see, in Augmented Reality and thus superimposed on the globe, the characters of the most important constellations, with the 3D location of the most interesting astronomical objects that characterize each constellation.

With a simple touch of your finger, specific elements can be selected and interactively displayed, images and description sheets displayed.

They are contained in the application:

- 20 characters related to as many astronomical constellations, floating in 3D and viewable in AR superimposed on the star map of the globe in "night" mode;

- 20 descriptive text cards, with general information about the constellation, the history and mythology of the character represented, the main stars and celestial objects of the constellation, as well as instructions to identify them in the sky;

- more than 40 3D objects, located in AR on the star globe, representing astronomical objects such as star clusters, nebulae and galaxies, each accompanied by explanatory photographic images taken with the most powerful telescopes;

- 4 in-depth 3D films on Astronomical Geography: the rotation and translation movements of the Earth, the astronomical seasons, the movement of the Moon around the Earth and the lunar phases, time zones and time differences on the globe.

In addition to the Augmented Reality navigation mode, interactive content can also be accessed through a simple 3D interactive interface with the touch of a finger.

How does it work:

- Download the GlobeAR application via QR code or a link to the Online Store;

In AR mode:

- Use the app in a dark room and turn on the globe.

- Choose a constellation

- Frame the chosen constellation on the globe;

- Click on the lens icon near each constellation for more details.

In 3D mode:

- Through the 3D interface, choose the constellation you want to display;

- Proceed as in the AR version.

All the content of the App is original from Tecnodidattica: there are no links to external sites or advertising.
