A tool for determining the actually existing workload
Occupational Health and Safety Act (§§ 5 and 6) and Load Handling Ordinance (§ 2) require the assessment of working conditions, if hazards during manual handling of loads can not be reliably ruled out.
For this risk analysis, the key feature method is recommended by the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) and the State Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (LASI).
All features are mapped individually in levels from minimum to maximum. They describe the load and show bottlenecks. Subsequently, a total risk value can be calculated from the individual scalings of the guide features.
The guiding characteristic methods are orienting methods for the practicing practitioner with good knowledge of the activity to be assessed. They allow a final assessment for many activities.
The key characteristic methods are among the screening methods, but require a good knowledge of the jobs to be assessed. They make it possible to detect work-related deficits and provide information on measures that can reduce the risk of negative health effects.
Be assessed:
- Lift, hold, carry
- pulling, pushing
- Manual work processes
All results are calculated in real time.
The results may be supplemented with other information - e.g. the time stamp, the examiner or further notes.
Forwarding the results from the app is possible via a share function.
Detailed descriptions of all calculations are also available.
