The ancient Frontoni pizzeria was born in 1921 as a "steam oven", in one of the most popular neighborhoods of Rome, Trastevere. Since 1992, the business has been based in Monteverde, the neighborhood of the Frontoni family. Currently, Claudio, Nadia and their children have been in charge of the management of Frontoni in Rome since 1921, helped by a competent and professional staff.

The history of Pizzeria Frontoni is made of flavors and aromas that has been going on for four generations.

Generations of Romans who, over the years, have changed their way of living, working and eating. Founded in 1921, the Frontoni 'steam oven' baked bread for a popular Trastevere which, in the immediate postwar period, needed bread, pasta and other basic necessities.

The encounter between the oven and the delicatessen led, within a few years, to the birth of an entirely Roman product: the white stuffed pizza ('la romana'). The student, the worker or the professional who, attracted by the inviting scent that spread over Viale Trastevere, could not help but succumb to the temptation of that delicious offer.

Today, after almost a hundred years, those flavors continue to live and renew themselves day after day thanks to the work of the fourth generation of Frontoni who strives every day to serve you again with the same unchanged passion.
