The application offers you photos and descriptive sheets of more than 3,300 species found in Switzerland and facilitates their identification using three different determination keys: dichotomous key, multi-criteria key, automatic image recognition.

The descriptive sheets of the species are supplemented with photographs, geographical distribution maps and descriptive texts. In the field notebook it is possible to record your own floristic observations with a precise geographical location and to transmit them to the national Info Flora data center. It also allows you to manage a list of favorites and enrich observations with photos and personal notes.

**THE FUNCTIONS**

SPECIES & FILTER

The species list can be explored simply by flipping through it, but also using the integrated search function. With the filter, it is possible to add more criteria to the search function, for example the flowering period, the distribution by region or the family or the genus. Species names can be displayed in scientific Latin or French (or German depending on the version chosen), the list itself can be sorted alphabetically or by species number representing the systematic order of the printed work .

DETERMINE - DICHOTOMIC KEY

By deciding step by step between two questions or characteristics proposed, it is possible to identify the species sought. At any time it is possible to interrupt the determination process and display the remaining species which correspond to the selected characteristics.

DETERMINE - MULTI-CRITERIA KEY

By the free choice of criteria and their combinatorics, the list of species is delimited as and when. The more the number of descriptive criteria is increased, the more precise will be the level of determination. Colored dots indicate to what extent the selected criterion is suitable for identifying the species sought.

AUTOMATIC DETERMINATION BY IMAGE RECOGNITION

This algorithm currently makes it possible to determine around 2000 species. This functionality is made possible thanks to the collaboration with Flora Incognita. For this reason, we cannot guarantee the availability of this service in the long term.

FIELD LOG & OBSERVATIONS

Using the field notebook, you can enrich the application with your own photos and floristic notes. Observations are recorded with their geographic coordinates and can be exported by email to your personal address. They can also be sent to Info Flora, the form provided for this purpose is available in addition to the method for quickly entering personal observations.

BILINGUAL MODE (in-app purchase)

With the update "German language" the application can be used in bilingual mode.

DRAWINGS FLORA VEGETATIVA (in-app purchase)

determine vascular plants during the non-flowering months. More than 2,300 drawings of growth forms, stems and leaves, all enriched with comments, will help determine the plants in the vegetative state.

ADDITIONAL SPECIES & FEATURES (in-app purchase)

will add information for more species. This in-app purchase also features new filters and features in the Field Book. In the dichotomous key, it is possible to display the reverse path by choosing a species.
