Ceará Sporting Club is a Brazilian multi-sport club. Its headquarters are located in Fortaleza, in the Northeast Region of Brazil. The club was founded on the night of June 2, 1914, through the streets of the historic district of Centro da Capital.

Its mascot is grandpa, not because it is the oldest team in the capital of Ceará, but because Meton de Alencar Pinto, then president of the club, for receiving the youth athletes of América Futebol Club, treated them as his "grandchildren".

Its official stadium is Carlos de Alencar Pinto, nicknamed by the fans as Vovozão. The alvinegro, however, sends his games at Arena Castelão, of the Government of the State of Ceará, and at Estádio Presidente Vargas, of the City Hall of Fortaleza.

The club also owns one of the most modern training centers in the Northeast, Cidade Vozão, which occupies an area of ​​eight hectares, housing a stadium with a capacity for 4,000 people; three official training camps, as well as a society court. The CT has a building with 1,600 m² of construction.

Its main titles are the 1969 North-Northeast Tournament championships, the Northeast Cup twice, both won undefeated in 2015 and 2020, in addition to 45 state titles, a record in the state of Ceará.
