WE THE FCA

FC Augsburg is a traditional club that was founded on August 8, 1907 under the name FC

Alemannia was founded and renamed BC Augsburg twelve years later. This BCA

merged in 1969 with the second major Augsburg football club, TSV Schwaben

Augsburg, and has since taken part in game operations as FC Augsburg.

At that time, FCA already had football greats like Uli Biesinger, world champion in 1954, or

Helmut Haller brought forth, but initially failed to establish himself at the highest level

establish. After 23 years in amateur football, FCA finally made the leap in 2006

in second division before the Fuggerstadt team celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga in 2011.
