The Book of Fathul Jawad Bi Syarhil Ershad is one of the famous fiqh books by al-Shaykh Ibn Hajar al-Haytami. Fath al-Jawad is a summary of the book al-Imdad bi Syarh al-Irsyad which is also his work. Both of these books are the description (syarh) of the book al-Irsyad by al-Imam Isma'il bin Abi Bakr Ibn al-Muqri al-Yamani (837H). Fath al-Jawad 'ala Syarh al-Irshad is a fiqh written with interesting topic arrangements and received good reception, especially in Yemen.

There are two hasyiah for this book, namely hasyiah done by Ibn Hajar al-Haytami himself and Hasyiah al-'Allamah al-'Uqaybi al-Yamani. al-Imam 'Abd Allah Ba Qushayr (1076H) has tried to do a summary of this book but he could not finish his efforts. Fath al-Jawad 'ala Syarh al-Irshad is on the second step after Tuhfah al-Muhtaj Bi Syarh al-Minhaj for the finalization of the views in it if there is any discussion of his views in his fiqh essays.

However, this book is a book that is rarely found on the market or in the hands of Syafi'i fiqh students themselves, even in Islamic boarding schools/boarding schools. -Jawad is very often quoted by Sayydi Bakri Syatha. Alhamdulillah, now this book has been republished by the Dar Pole Ilmiyah publisher in three volumes.
