In the fashion world, new designs are presented in the form of sketches drawn manually by hand, before the fabric is cut and sewn. First you draw a basic sketch, the basic form of a model body (croquis) which forms the basis of a sketch. Add colors and details such as lace, lining, and buttons to help you describe the ideas that are in your mind.

The tool that is needed is

1) thick paper or picture book

2) a pencil that is not too dark to produce a sketch line.

3) good quality eraser

4) color pencils, markers, watercolors, ink to complete the design illustration
