Discover a new Erfurt in the tunnel before BUGA 2021 with augmented reality

Discover and experience a hidden Erfurt in the BUGA tunnel. "Experience Energy" is the official augmented reality app from SWE Energie GmbH.

In front of the main entrance of the egapark there is an underpass, the walls of which are painted in the style of a cabinet of curiosities. Inside the tunnel there is also a virtual city that can only be seen with "Experience Energy".

The AR landscape consists of five parts that have to be played one after the other:

Renewable energy:

Experience photovoltaic systems, wind turbines, solar thermal and biogas systems live. Observe the effects of the weather on the individual energy producers and experience a thunderstorm.

The power plant:

The heart of the Erfurt energy supply opens. The gas and steam turbine system generates electricity and heat for the whole of Erfurt.

The town:

Marvel at the Erfurt city center in 3D, as well as an electric car and an energy bridge.

Storage:

What happens if there is too much electricity but no heat? How can we store excess energy for calm & cloudy times? Here you get an outlook on existing and future technologies for storing energy.

Environment:

Immerse yourself in the smoky past of the Thuringian state capital and see how it has changed over the past few decades.
