About Easy DIY Slip and SlideWaterpark

An Application That Teaches You Easy DIY Slip And SlideWaterpark Step by Step

Make a splash this summer with your very own mini waterpark.

There’s nothing like cooling off on a hot day at the water park. Well, except the cost of those water park tickets, which can put a serious dent in your wallet. Oh, and then you have to leave your house to stand in a long line to get in. No thank you! Skip the lines and save your money by making your own slip slide that the kids will totally love.

Supplies

   10 pool noodles

   1 mega pool noodle

   10 X 25 feet, *6 mil plastic

   velcro tape

   scissors

5-6 landscape staples or small tent stakes

   2 sprinklers

*Make sure you get the thicker plastic sheets from the hardware store. It needs to be at least 6 mil in thickness to hold up to all the abuse it will get. A 10 X 25 foot roll will run you around $25 at most big box home improvement stores.

- Roll out the sheet of plastic on a relatively flat surface. Make sure the area is clear of rocks, sticks or any debris that could puncture the plastic or hurt when sliding over.

- Lay out the pool noodles down each side of the sheet of plastic. Put the mega noodle on one end of the sheet ( the lower end if your yard slopes). Pool noodles are typically 5 feet long, so on this 25 feet sheet of plastic, 5 noodles were laid on each side. You should plan to have 2.5 feet of plastic on each of the ends.

- At the end where you laid the mega noodle is where you should start wrapping the plastic around the noodle.  Use the Velcro tape to secure the plastic around the noodle. This will act as a stopper or speed bump. Safety first!

- Wrap the pool noodles along the side of the plastic sheet as well. Wrap them on the underside and secured with more Velcro tape. The pool noodles on the sides will help keep the water on the plastic.

- Secure the top end of the slide with landscape staples.

- Pin the ends on each side of the bottom end with staples too. Set up your sprinklers on one side of the slide, add a bit of dish soap (optional, but makes a super fast and slippery surface) and

- Let the kids have at it!

Cheap summer fun always wins.
