This update should also fix a lot of force close issues.

You need a Facebook account to rate courses. Why? Because I want one vote per user and I don't want to make people create yet another account with a new password to use another app. Facebook simply tells me who you are. Otherwise, I'd have to keep track of your emails and passwords myself which would be less secure since many people use the same password for everything.
