DGDA Drug Verification

DGDA Drug Verification is developed for bridging consumers/citizens and relevant stakeholders through accessing web and mobile based platform. It’s a free application developed for consumer-based Medicine Authentication, Price Verification, reporting on suspected adverse effects (or adverse drug reactions) or any issues pertaining to Access and safety of Medicines.

As a mobile app, its benefits are particularly relevant in low- and middle- income countries, where the prevalence of smartphones exceeds access to computers with wired internet connections. In particular, it can be a powerful tool to build post-marketing knowledge of the safety profile of medicines and vaccines in the real-world setting even in outbreak like ongoing COVID-19. Therefore, it’s now been transformed into National AEFI/AESI Reporting Portal http://covid19pv.dgda.gov.bd / http://103.48.16.179 abiding by The National AEFI Protocol (COVID-19) apropos with the ongoing mass vaccination program (Since February 07,2021). Its been invited for WSIS Stocktaking Series: The Coronavirus Response – ICT Case Repository. (Session 201: Thursday, 25 February 2021) acknowledging the ongoing efforts as promoting the good use of ICTs in making social and Health impact, and in order to provide useful, replicable and actionable information to all WSIS community and beyond, the platform is now available for collecting projects and activities on how ICTs are assisting stakeholders in their everyday life, work, and combating challenges caused by this extraordinary pandemic.
