The source of each passage that appears on these pages is indicated. A careful look at the references will reveal that the main source has been the well-known series of "The Great Conflict", which, in general, presents the most complete and richest account. The task of selecting and ordering these sketches has been carried out in the office of the Ellen G. White Foundation. Hopefully they can fulfill the purpose for which they were intended, to bring encouragement to the children of God for the trials that assail us in the last days of the history of the earth.
