Squirrels are classified as rodents that live in different environments, but most of them live on trees in forests, and some live in the wild.

It is characterized by the emergence of 4 teeth in the front of its jaws that do not stop growing throughout its life, as if one of them breaks, a new one comes out to help it eat all the food it needs.

It has wide black eyes and sharp vision to avoid dangers as it is prey for birds of prey, snakes and foxes.

There are many species that have adapted to different environments around the world.

They are considered a medium-sized rodent, and their physical characteristics and habitats differ from one species to another.

They live most of the time underground and are sleep-loving creatures especially in winter.

They live in their homes that they made in the form of burrows and tunnels, which they resort to for hibernation, as they are unable to face the cold winter.

Barbary squirrels are found in North Africa and are the most prevalent species in the Arab world. They are very intelligent and can be trained to deal with humans.

Plains squirrels This species is found in North America and has a slightly stocky body and a relatively large head. It feeds on grasses and inhabits the plains.

The golden squirrel is golden brown in color and is generally found in southwestern Canada and western United States at the Rocky Mountains.

The Siberian squirrel is found in Asia and Eastern Europe and is characterized by its large size, heavy weight and thick fur. It feeds on plants and fruits.
