Sewing your own clothes for children is not easy if we do not have basic skills, but do not be discouraged because the skills and expertise of sewing we can get by learning through courses or self-taught. Especially now many sewing tutorials that we can get from the internet, both in the form of text and tutorials from Youtube videos.

If we can make our own children's clothes, of course, it will reduce expenses. We can be creative with many varied models that we can get from magazines or by searching Google. There is happiness and pride if you can make your own clothes. If sewing skills are developed, it will certainly make money.

To make children's clothes as above the first step is to take measurements. We can also trace the size of the ready-made clothes. To make the sewing process easier, we first create a pattern. The pattern below I made with a standard size convection for children aged 1 to 3 years.

After the pattern is finished, then apply it to the fabric. The pattern consists of collar patterns, upper and lower dress patterns. For the upper part, the pattern consists of the front and back patterns. The rear pattern is cut in half to attach the zipper. You can use one of them.

Determine the size of the Pattern of Children's Clothing

This is the pleasure of sewing clothes by ourselves, that is, we can adjust the size according to what we want. Sizes that are generally needed for children's clothing patterns include:

Circumference of the body, which is taken by circling the meter to the body, precisely under the armpit. The size is added by the amount of 4 cm.

Waist circumference, taken by wrapping the meter around the waist, and adding the amount of 2 cm.

Back length, measurement starts from the neck that has prominent bone segments to the waist.

Back width, measurements are made wide on the back, ranging from the right arm arch to the left arm arch.

The width of the face, the measurements are made wide in the chest, starting from the right arm arch to the left arm arch.

Shoulder length, measurement starts from the neck to the shoulder end.

The circumference of the arm cavity, measurements are made at the arm holes, and the amount is added 1 cm.

Neck circumference, measurements are made by wrapping the meter around the neck.

Face length, measurements are made from the curve of the neck to the waistline,

Arm length, measurements are taken from the lowest shoulder to the length of the arm.

Shirt length, measurements are adjusted to the model to be made.

After all the materials are cut to the desired size and pattern of the child's clothes, the next step is to unite them, by pressing and sewing them.
