Founded in Milan in 1870 by Ulrico Hoepli, the Hoepli publishing house specializes in scientific and technical manuals, school publishing and dictionaries. Born as a bookshop, it immediately began to develop the publishing business with the publication of numerous manuals which led to the creation of a catalog of thousands of titles within a few years.

Although the scientific character is predominant, the Hoepli catalog covers numerous sectors, from economics to music, from jurisprudence to sport with particular attention to dictionaries and texts for language learning.
