Code of Criminal Procedure Federative Republic of Brazil.

The Brazilian Code of Criminal Procedure, commonly abbreviated as CPP, is the code of norms of Criminal Procedural Law in Brazil, intended to organize criminal justice and enable the Brazilian State to exercise its right/duty to apply sanctions of a criminal nature, originating of the Penal Code and sparse legislation. The current code was written by Francisco Campos and established by Decree-Law No. 3,689 of 1941, by then President Getúlio Vargas, with 811 articles. It came into force on January 1, 1942.
